VMI, Inc. Hosts Leadership Cushing 2022 Class
On Thursday, April 14th VMI, Inc. hosted the Leadership Cushing 2022 Class. The class watched a presentation by VMI President, Cash Maitlen where they learned the history of VMI, Inc and about the importance of dredging. After the presentation, Cash conducted a tour of the VMI facility where the participants toured the shop area and got to see a dredge in action in the VMI testing area. The class was also able to see the newly available Dredge Cam operate. The Dredge Camera fills a vital role in dredge projects and gave the participants the ability to put eyes on keys areas of a project site remotely.

Leadership Cushing is a seminar program hosted by the Cushing Chamber of Commerce. The mission of Leadership Cushing is to prepare a representation cross section of the community’s emerging leaders for their potential role in shaping the future of the Cushing Area. This mission is achieved by acquainting class members with current community issues, providing a framework for meeting and working with other outstanding community leaders, promoting greater awareness of community resources, and offering avenues to become more civically involved through service projects and other community activities and/or leadership positions.
